As far as expenses are concerned, Thank GOD (and the whole - Father, Son and Holy Spirit thing - if I was really Italian) that I am out of France! While shopping for groceries in Tuscany, my main concerns were: yummy factor, followed unfortunately by healthyness, range of options, and least of all cost. This order of importance was ONLY due to the fact that alllllllll the high quality goods were cheap! Seriously, I bought: 3 bottles of booze, 2 bottles of wine, 6 pack of beer, and of course Limoncello, 6 pack of liter large Pellegrinos, and 24 Coke Zeros. 8 packets of lunch-meats (Italian style), at least 8 different cheeses, meats for dinner inc. - steak, pork loin, chicken, rump roast, ground beef, 4 salmon fillets and 6 fillets of turkey, not to mention caviar, smoked salmon, shrimp, octopus, condiments, breakfast foods, fruits, vegetables, and specialty items. aaannnndddddddd
Guess I dare you.................. UNDER 200 EUROS, AHHHHHHH, so shocked! after every half decent, nearly shitty, meal-out in France coasting at least half that much, I was hysterical with the ability to obtain ingredients at such a reasonable rate.
Yummmmmmmmm
Cheap Full Fridge
Now, I am armed with the arsenal of food that I need. The house was stocked (Like any good Italian home should be) with the essentials.
One of Three Cupboards I found filled with pasta
But obviously soon there will be no need for these, as I begin to prepare home-made pasta! Carla, my teacher, arrives tomorrow, and the schedule of studies will be determined from there! FAT GIRL OFFICIALLY EXCITED AND UP FOR THE CHALLENGE :)
